Description
Acid Buf is derived from calcareous marine algae. Designed for both cattle and sheep, Acid Buf conditions the rumen, allowing it to work more efficiently. With its unique honeycomb structure and large surface area, Acid Buf breaks down slowly, releasing highly bio-available calcium and magnesium whilst neutralising significantly more acid, over a longer period of time, than many conventional buffers.

Acid Buf is a natural product of marine origin, and as such, is subject to seasonal variations.
Benefits & Usage
Typical Benefits for Lactating Cows
- Better neutralisation of rumen acid than many conventional buffers
- Reduced risk of acidosis
- Slow release and longer term rumen buffering
- Improved utilisation of feed energy by increasing propionate production, leading to improved milk yield and milk protein
- Contains high levels of bio-available calcium and magnesium as well as a number of essential trace elements
- Improves fibre digestion
Typical Benefits for Dry Cows
- DCAB neutral
- Allows increased concentrate feeding close to calving
- Releases valuable bio-available calcium and magnesium to the cow
- Reduces the risk of metabolic disorders
- Conditions the rumen for lactation
Usage
- Feed rate (Lactating Cows): 50—80 g/cow/day
- Feed rate (Dry Cow Transition): 40-50g/cow/day
- Mix either into TMR feed directly or as part of the mineral mix.
- Can be stored in a cool dry place for up to a maximum of 24 months in original packaging.
